जितेन्द्रियो जगद्योनिः ज्योतिश्चक्रप्रवर्तकः। विकर्तनानुजो वीरो विश्वेशो विदुषाम्पतिः॥ २॥

दोषाकरो दुष्टदूरः पुष्टिमान् शिष्टपालकः।

अष्टमूर्तिप्रियोऽनन्त कष्टदारुकुठारकः॥ ३॥

स्वप्रकाशः प्रकाशात्मा द्युचरो देवभोजनः।

कळाधरः कालहेतुः कामकृत्कामदायकः॥ ४॥

मृत्युसंहारकोऽमर्त्यो नित्यानुष्ठानदायकः।

क्षपाकरः क्षीणपापः क्षयवृद्धिसमन्वितः॥ ५॥

Destroyer of death

अमर्त्यः (Amartyah):

Immortal

नित्यानुष्ठानदायकः (Nityanushthanadayakah):

जैवातृकः शुची शुभ्रो जयी जयफलप्रदः।

सुधामयस्सुरस्वामी भक्तानामिष्टदायकः॥ ६॥

भुक्तिदो मुक्तिदो भद्रो भक्तदारिद्र्यभञ्जकः।

सामगानप्रियः सर्वरक्षकः सागरोद्भवः॥ ७॥

भयान्तकृत् भक्तिगम्यो भवबन्धविमोचकः।

जगत्प्रकाशकिरणो जगदानन्दकारणः॥ ८॥

निस्सपत्नो निराहारो निर्विकारो निरामयः।

भूच्छायाऽऽच्छादितो भव्यो भुवनप्रतिपालकः॥ ९॥

सकलार्तिहरः सौम्यजनकः साधुवन्दितः।

सर्वागमज्ञः सर्वज्ञो सनकादिमुनिस्तुतः॥ १०॥

Remover of all sufferings

सौम्यजनकः (Saumyajanakah):

Generator of tranquility

The remover of all sufferings, generator of tranquility, adored by the virtuous, knower of all scriptures, all-knowing, and praised by sages like Sanaka.


Verse 11:

सितच्छत्रध्वजोपेतः सीतांगो सीतभूषणः।

श्वेतमाल्याम्बरधरः श्वेतगन्धानुलेपनः॥ ११॥

Sita-chhatra-dhvaja-opetah

Adorned with a white umbrella and flag

सीतांगः (Sitangah):

Sita-angah

With a pale body

सीतभूषणः (Sitabhooshanah):

Adorned with white ornaments

श्वेतमाल्याम्बरधरः (Shvetamalyambaradharah):

Shveta-malya-ambara-dharah

Wearer of white garlands and clothes

श्वेतगन्धानुलेपनः (Shvetagandhanulepanah):

Shveta-gandha-anulepanah

Anointed with white fragrances

Translation:

Adorned with a white umbrella and flag, with a pale body, adorned with white ornaments, wearer of white garlands and clothes, anointed with white fragrances.



Verse 12:

दशाश्वरथसंरूढो दण्डपाणिः धनुर्धरः।

कुन्दपुष्पोज्ज्वलाकारो नयनाब्जसमुद्भवः॥ १२॥


दशाश्वरथसंरूढः (Dashashvarathasamrudhah):

Dasha-ashva-ratha-samrudhah

Mounted on a chariot with ten horses

दण्डपाणिः (Dandapanih):

Danda-panih

Holding a staff

धनुर्धरः (Dhanurdharah):

कुन्दपुष्पोज्ज्वलाकारः (Kundapushpojjvalakarah):

Radiant like the jasmine flower

नयनाब्जसमुद्भवः (Nayanabjasamudbhavah):

Originating from the lotus-like eyes

Translation:

Mounted on a chariot with ten horses, holding a staff, the bearer of a bow, radiant like the jasmine flower, originating from the lotus-like eyes.

आत्रेयगोत्रजोऽत्यन्तविनयः प्रियदायकः।

करुणारससम्पूर्णः कर्कटप्रभुरव्ययः॥ १३॥

Born in the lineage of Atri

अत्यन्तविनयः (Atyantavinayah):

Extremely humble

विवस्वन्मण्डलाग्नेयवासो वसुसमृद्धिदः॥ १४॥

महेश्वरःप्रियो दान्त्यो मेरुगोत्रप्रदक्षिणः।

ग्रहमण्डलमध्यस्थो ग्रसितार्को ग्रहाधिपः॥ १५॥

Beloved of Maheshwara (Shiva)

दान्त्यः (Dantyah):

औदुम्बरनगावास उदारो रोहिणीपतिः॥ १६॥

सकलाह्लादनकरो फलाशसमिधप्रियः॥ १७॥
