## 🕯️ Verse 1


**Sanskrit:**

अरुणाय शरण्याय करुणारससिन्धवे ।

असमानबलायार्थरक्षकाय नमो नमः ॥

```


**Transliteration:**

aruṇāya śaraṇyāya karuṇārasasindhave |

asamānabalāyārtharakṣakāya namo namaḥ ||

```


**Meaning:**

- aruṇāya – To the reddish one (like dawn or fire)

- śaraṇyāya – To the one who gives refuge

- karuṇārasasindhave – To the ocean of the nectar of compassion

- asamānabalāya – To one with unmatched strength

- ārtharakṣakāya – To the protector of the distressed


**🕉️ Spiritual Interpretation:**

Surya is the dawn of inner awareness, who shelters the lost and suffering in his infinite compassion. Meditating on these names invites divine protection and strength when overwhelmed.

अच्युतायाखिलज्ञाय अनन्ताय नमो नमः ॥

acyutāyākhilajñāya anantāya namo namaḥ ||

```


**Meaning:**

- ādityāya – To Āditya, the Sun god

- ādibhūtāya – To the primordial being

- akhilāgamavedine – Knower of all scriptures

- acyutāya – The unchanging one

- akhilajñāya – The all-knowing

- anantāya – The infinite one

indirāmandirāptāya vandanīyāya te namaḥ ||

```


**Meaning:**

- ināya – The powerful

- viśvarūpāya – The universal form

- ijyāya – The one worthy of worship

- indrāya – Kingly like Indra

- bhānave – To the one who shines

- indirāmandirāptāya – Dweller in the abode of Lakshmi

- vandanīyāya – Worthy of veneration

vasupradāya vasave vāsudēvāya te namaḥ ||

```


**Meaning:**

- īśāya – To the Lord (controller)

- suprasannāya – Ever-pleased one

- suśīlāya – Of noble character

- suvarcase – Of radiant appearance

- vasupradāya – Giver of wealth

- vasave – Leader of the Vasus

- vāsudēvāya – The omnipresent divine
