buddhyā asamo yasya na kaścanyo

matiṁ devāḥ upajīvanti yasya

prajā-ātmajaṁ dharma-niṣṭhaṁ guruṁ

sadā śaraṇaṁ ahaṁ prapadye

“I surrender to Guru Brihaspati,

whose wisdom none can equal,

whose intellect even the gods depend upon,

the righteous son of Prajāpati.”

situated in the northern celestial sphere,

vast and radiant in all four directions,
